Race

Equivalent to the English term 'race' and, as such, highly discredited for its reliance on outdated biological and genetic parametres. Nowadays often written between inverted commas, in an attempt to express its contested nature. Cf.  with 'etnicidad' and 'etnia', which refers to cultural—and not phenotypical—identifications.
